Watched the show at Fairbury on Flo Racing last night and the racing was in my opinion fantastic for a season opener with good car counts. It's awesome to see a town and a community support a track like Fairbury does. They have something special there and they all know it. Good Luck to Matt Curl and the FALS staff during the 2022 season.

What’s the background on Tommy Sheppard jr?
He's Brandon Sheppard's cousin. He was running UMP Modifieds the last handful of years and did pretty good. He thanked Brandon and family for helping him get a late model going earlier this year in a Facebook post.Nathan Stephens

Also, in his interview after the win he stated that this was only his 7th time in a late model, and he would be at FALS every Saturday. He just kind of laid back while Opie and Moos were going back and forth then passed them both on the bottom. Good racing i thought. 135 total cars in the pits.Comment
