It was sometime in the early 90's, I was going to a week long training for work, in by the city (Chicago). I'd cut through the small town of Hampshire (IL) to eventually get on the tollway. Out of nowhere, a "diner" appeared off a small gravel lot, and I'm certain it wasn't there the day before (but how do you build a diner that quickly). Upon a closer look the next day, I noticed it was just the "front" of a diner. Long story short, it turned out to be where they filmed the last scene of the movie, when Jimmy "disappeared."

Why it was in Hampshire is beyond me. I haven't been by there in a long, long time, but I believe they left the diner sign up after.
