Says Hoosier will be reducing the number of Super Late Model tires produced from 26 to 6. That's quite a change. NLMT 1, 2, 3, 4 ( 1 softest to 4 hardest compounds)
90 in 1,2,3
92 in 2,3,4
Wild West Shootout is when this will tentatively launch. They're aiming for a similar program for Crate Late Models in 2024.

Its worse than I expected...Originally posted by cjsracing View Post20's, 30's and 40's in sizes 90's and 92's
These are designed to be no groove and no sipe tires!!!!
I'm guessing $300 a pop too? I hope we get some time to use up the used, good tires we have.Modern Day Spec Wedge Racing

Press release stated "initially" there would be a no groove and no sipe mandate in effect. Maybe they'll open this up later.
Also said Hoosier expects the new compounds to have a reduced retail price from current tires.

Said they will be less than the current cost because it simplifies the production/distribution process.Originally posted by MasterSbilt_Racer View PostIts worse than I expected...

I personally love the no groove/no sipe, the series I race has that as a rule and it makes my tire preparation time minimal.

It does, but I figured we would see none of that savings. That said, we have run 10 shows this year, zero new tires. I can do that again next year, if they don't force this on us.Originally posted by cjsracing View PostSaid they will be less than the current cost because it simplifies the production/distribution process.Modern Day Spec Wedge Racing

They said they usually suggest a 4 race grace period to their weekly tracks to use up the old tires.Originally posted by MasterSbilt_Racer View PostIt does, but I figured we would see none of that savings.
