You would be shocked at what it does say. Basically, that they are NOT responsible for you if you get hurt. Crazy, all these years I thought I was protected if something happened to me in the pits but NOPE, you are on your own.

That’s why I normally sign in as Santa clause.

Hate to ask, but why would you think you are protected? The current world we live in would run racetracks out of business in a matter of hours if that was the case. Every little scrape, bump, etc. would be a 'claim'; that piece of paper is what allows them to hopefully fend off the massive lawsuits that would come without it (and some still do regardless).Realize pit pass funds are not meant to purchase insurance directly for you but for the facility which indirectly allows you some protection as well. The benefit to some of the sanctioning bodies is that some do provide a form of coverage for the competitor (as well as the racetrack)...
