Very sad and tragic........you never know what someone is going through! Many prayers to his family, friends, and fans. Count me as one!

Based on his words behind the mic, we can rest easy knowing he is with his Lord and Savior!

This is so terribly sad. As somebody who has been affected by this happening in our family it is truly hard to process when it happens. RIP

This is such sad news. Prayers to Rick's family and friends.

Jimbo so sorry to hear you've been affected prayers to you and your family as well. I've been affected with this pain as well. My best friends took his life and then a guy who he and I would help each other on jobs we were doing took his own life about a month ago. I'm Still in disbelief to this day.

So very very sad to read this news. On so many levels this touches. For sure as a fan of our sport. As someone who experienced this pain very early in life with a loved one. As someone who spent three decades in an occupation helping others in these moments of very profound and confusing loss. My heart goes out.

God bless and keep Rick's family and many many friends during this time. May his soul experience a place of peace.

I always enjoyed his announcing, I thought he did a great job. I may be thinking of the wrong person, but didn’t his wife or girlfriend of many years pass away from cancer a few years back. maybe it was another announcer but I thought it was his. Either way I hope the family can find ways to heal and not blame themselves for this, just from having friends that have dealt with suicide it’s tough on everyone.
