^ ^ This is why racecars are equipped with brakes ,So when a faster car is about to overtake you the common sense thing to do is to tap the brakes for an instant and let the car in to avoid a collision so you can live to fight back on another lap ! !

Jimmy didn’t have a “move”. His fender got ripped off and nose piece got stuck on the tire. He was basically driving a snow plow at the point. Anyone who says that was clean slider or owens should’ve just hit the brakes has no concept of what it’s like to drive a racecar. When someone slides across your nose the air is trying to push you up over the cushion and hitting your brakes will put you over the cushion as well. The only thing you can do is keep in the gas and hope you can’t get to inside of the guy sliding across your nose, really a bs move on Bobby’s part

Some of the few drivers that can go an entire season without a DNF do so sometimes because they have enough going up inside their head to do what they have to avoid an accident. They tend to think that it is better to anticipate a close move and back off for a brief period of time so that they can at least finish well enough to make a little bit of money. . .

Yes , as long as you like the driver and are one of his most ardent fan bois……it’s fine to just run over whom ever you want to and get a pass.( racing deal, brakes, power steering etc is normally the excuse)

But yes…..perfectly fine to just run them over……it will never be his fault even though he said it was.
