              I figured some DLM drivers may attempt the million in a sprint car. I remember Brandon Overton drove one last year at the 2021 World Finals.

                                          JD may test one, but that's about as far as that would go. Eldora is not a place for someone to see if he can get up to speed. To much at stake for a guy like JD

                                              Late '60s I was a rookie at Eldora in the Early Model Sportsman (Hardtops) and though I never won even a heat race ran pretty decent and, for the most part, stayed out of trouble.
                                              Sprint car owner asked me if I'd like to run his car as he thought there was some potential. His car was pretty much a warhorse and after I asked around I found out his last driver was recovering from broken kneecaps from a bad wreck in his car. I decided Eldora was no place to learn to drive a Sprinter. My one and only shot at it and I never regretted not going for it. Have stuck with the stocker stuff for the last 60 years and it's been a lot of fun without any hospital time.
