There was a rumor they were going to shorten the track, again. Guess they decided to sell it. Whoever has it really needs to shorten it.

I agree with MRM.
At worst, split it in 1/2 and make 2 bullrings. Mods on one end and lates on the other.8/13/16

That takes more money.Originally posted by MRM View PostThere was a rumor they were going to shorten the track, again. Guess they decided to sell it. Whoever has it really needs to shorten it.
Hopefully whoever owns it next can do that and hopefully the new owner doesn’t demolish it to build something different.

You can’t go cut the grass off the track a week before a big race and expect to turn a profit. Like anything else, the people who put in the most effort usually have the most success

The decision to go back to the big track configuration was mind-numbingly ignorant of the state of the sport and the fact that all of the racers in the area are on the lower end of the budget spectrum and build their cars for the 1/4 miles that surround the place.

The place was a horrible idea from the start. 1.2 to buy it then another million to shorten the track, put a fork in the place.

In that area all the drivers have an allegiance to Ohio Valley on Friday and Tyler County on Saturday. The new Pennsboro and if WVMS survives will never be anything but special event venues unless one of the established tracks go under.Originally posted by nc mudcat View PostGo ahead with the 1/4 mile build, alternate weekends with Pennsboro. As it is, it's a concert venue at best.
