XR promoter floating a $100,001 to win Modified race in 2024.....

    DISCLAIMER:speculative post!

do you think hes getting out of lm's altogether after 2024 and going into mods now?
ONUM is his name for his mod series.
What are the issues at play here?
should only fulltime mod drivers be allowed to compete?
any guesses on which track hosts this race and the rule package? wissota, imca, usmts, ump all have different rules packages so....

100k to win. If you have the resources to offer that kind of money why not pay the 24th starting spot 1000 instead of 75.00 just so you can have rtj, hoffman, owens and a host of others that will show up. Break that purse up so everyone makes some money and you'll still get 150 cars.

I still say if Eldora was to run a modified race and pay $40,000 to win with $2,000 to start and have it at 24 cars and then pay B-Main Non transfers from 5th at $1,200 and 24th $500. and C-main 5th $800 to 24th $300 and all other cars get $150 for not making a C or B main. You might get 300 Mods. Pit pass $40 Entry fee $50 Stands $30 that's for a 2 day show. Friday would be practice and group qualifying and fastest 120 cars go to 6 heat races. Everyone else goes to 1 of as many as 6 Non Qualifier races. that pay $600 to win or a chance to start last in a heat race and $100 to start for 15 laps.

After this year can anyone take anything that XR proposes seriously. Look how far the postponed All Tech race had fallen off from the original format of $100K to win down to $10K to win.

How certain can one be that the ONUM mod series becomes reality ?

That race will be cancelled, like the rest of the races the XRDL schedules.

SS- Short Track Super Series for NE mods does have a few southern dates during the year. Batesville did a 100K to win mod race in the 90's, Wayne 'UFO' Brooks took it home.

I still can’t name one person who I know that subscribes to XR.

Must have some subscriber's to pay the bills though.

The Batesville race was in 2004 and Bloomquist won it. And they had 296 cars show up out of the 400 cars pre entered. Some of the drivers were Dale Mcdowell as well as Jimmy Owens, Blake Chinn and Wayne Chinn as well as othe Super Late Drivers.

According to some teams, they don’t pay their bills though

Ive had XR for a total of two months the last 2 years. I normally get it for the Kokomo race and whatever race falls in after it, then I get rid of it. They don't have enough content to keep me locked in for a full year, or even several months in a row.

I know one other person that has it.
