What did he win the 2015 WoO Championship in???Originally posted by In The Gas View PostCapital Race Cars has been the problem. Why he ever switched to those is beyond me. I think he's actually part of Capital Race Cars, but maybe I misunderstood the arrangement. Career Highlights: 2021 1 Win / 9th in LOLMDS points 2020 10 Wins / 6th in LOLMDS points 2019 8 Wins / 2nd in WoO points 2018 4 Wins / 7th in WoO points 2017 9 Wins / 3rd in WoO points 2016 10 Wins / 2nd in WoO points 2015 15 Wins / Winning first WoO points title 2014 Gobbler 100 Champ ($10,000) at Cochran Motor Speedway 2012 Dirt Late Model Dream Champ ($100,000) at Eldora Speedway 2012 Winter Extreme ($10,000) at Tucson International Raceway. He had 10 wins on Lucas Oil Tour 2020... It just seems Capital has slipped a little behind somewhere. Numbers make a difference, can be a blessing and sometimes a curse.Last edited by Henry Every; 12-31-2023, 03:38 PM."In the Republic of Mediocrity, Genius is Dangerous." - Robert Green Ingersoll

^^ That fact of the Capital brand slipping behind a little kind of sounds like of how the Rocket brand has performed in the national touring series the last few years ? ?Originally posted by Henry Every View PostI think he's actually part of Capital Race Cars, but maybe I misunderstood the arrangement. Need to do a deeper dive on those stats, Clanton only has 6 career Lucas Oil wins. Those stats are for the whole season, many of those wins are regional races. Most of his success comes from running WoO which he does hold the all time career starts leader which also makes him the World of Outlaw Late Models biggest loser…"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the industrious out of it. they hardly build enough cars to be a brand , look at all the small builders and see what they are doing , Marshall Green is a good man and for clanton , he is just one of those you have to know how to take , I haven't talked to either one in a while but never had a problem with either .....JMO...Originally posted by Raceready View Post^^ That fact of the Capital brand slipping behind a little kind of sounds like of how the Rocket brand has performed in the national touring series the last few years ? ?

Capital would probably benefit from copious amounts of testing like the two biggies. Maybe having Shane at the helm will realize that.

That’s absolutely the smart way to go about it. Test, test, test, then test some more. Race some at places he especially likes or is good at, but still treat those races as testing. Log all the data he conceivably can.Originally posted by Tireguy17 View PostIf I was Shane I would take 2024 off from running WoO or Lucas. Get the business going under his watch, run races in the region, and prepare for a 2025 run.
