It's early 90's again. Watching HTFSDS at Swainsboro and most of the cars aren't using the LF very much. Noticed RTJ has been doing it more and more. 3 wheelin is fast again!
Toting The LF is BACK!

interesting when comparing to the setup of oval pavement cars where there is biased static weight to the left side in an attempt to maximize the lateral force generation of all four tires by having equal vertical loading on each for maximum corner speeds and on dirt they pitch out the window any lateral force the LF can provide

What they do in DLM today works, but its a series of crutches and band-aides masquerading as "Sophisticated" and "High Tech". You may need an engineer to tune it consistently but its a far cry from being well designed. One bad idea in 1998 set in motion the gradual destruction of the sport through expensive "Monkey See, Monkey Doo-Doo!" I'm just eating popcorn and waiting to see the finally, DLM's own 2008 financial crisis."In the Republic of Mediocrity, Genius is Dangerous." - Robert Green Ingersoll

Austin Kirkpatrick's new video is really good by the way.Originally posted by MIdlmfan View Postinteresting when comparing to the setup of oval pavement cars where there is biased static weight to the left side in an attempt to maximize the lateral force generation of all four tires by having equal vertical loading on each for maximum corner speeds and on dirt they pitch out the window any lateral force the LF can provide
Ricky started toting the LF towards the end of last season. His forward bite is crazy IMO. Probably why he comes across as an aggressive, dirty driver when you drive off the RR all the time.

Maybe he’s found something from driving his Micro that could possibly translate to his super LM?

No tricycling at Swainsboro last night. Track was slicked over from top to bottom. I’ve been going to the big SLM races at Swainsboro since I moved to South Georgia ten years ago. This is the best the track has ever been. Thank you, Swainsboro, for getting rid of the red dirt and bringing in real dirt.

Watched the replay of this race. Slick is a understatement. Looked like they were running 1/4 throttle.8/13/16
