    Cade Dillard

Saw he won $100,000 last night at Mississippi Thunder for the Big Deal Modified race. Is it me, or was there very little fanfare for this event. How was the crowd support for those who were there or have XR? I know there was a $500 non refundable entry fee that over 240 teams paid in advance, which more than covered the winner's share.

I was there all 4 nights and had a great time.
I know Barry has taken a beating on here for some things, but this event was a huge success.

I didn't go but some family members went. The reports I got was that the prelims were great but the feature was a bit of a yawner. They started 24 cars and Dillard and Jake Timm took off and hid from the pack for most of the race. Timm got passed late for second by Jim Chisholm. Bobby Pierce finished 8th after starting 13th. RTJ was a DNF in 16th, Mason Zeigler a DNF in 24th.

MTS is a great little track and they put on some very good racing, especially the open wheel mods. I too thought that the promotion and buzz was lacking a bit for such a big race for the mods. They announced next year's event as June 4-7 which will likely be the Dream weekend so probably not so many LM drivers will be trying for this one next year, unless they don't normally attend Eldora.

A good friend of mine bought a new car from him over the winter. Zero technical support and the car didn’t even have a standard setup on it when he picked it up. Cade told him they didn’t have a standard setup after he raced it a couple of times and wasn’t fast enough to get out of the way.
