The whole response to it seems a bit over the top, imo. It's not like Tony Stewart is some special guy beyond speculation. He's obviously changed his mind about things and "let people down" just as any other human has.

I don't feel he was overreacting at all. Eldora has big dollar sponsors/partners and $hitty rumors cause unnecessary concern to be had. I also feel that he was, more than likely, asked to address the rumor, so he did.

Idiots will continue to be idiots, but it doesn't mean we should act as though it's acceptable..... they are still idiots.
