Teching the bodies to the exact letter of the rulebook with zero tolerance would help a lot of the aero issues. Making the bodies straight, flat, and symmetrical with zero tolerance would practically eliminate them. Would also make building bodies much, much easier.

1990 body is pretty close to same except it straight.

hagerstown had a fantastic race last night, port royal has great racing, I80 had great racing. All big tracks arent bad racing but eldora seems to be more often than not. the atmosphere is great but i wish the on track product was better

While it has always had major events that attract the best drivers in the country, it never has been one of the raciest tracks in the country. Tracks like Cedar Lake, Knoxville, Wheatland, Fairbury, etc. have always been racier.

Agree 100% with this. IMO the Dream 100 & World 100 races usually tend to be more bland then edge of your seat excitement. There's been plenty of snoozers over the years including during the 80s & 90s. Some of those were also completely dominated and/or lead from start to finish.

As for this year's race, while Davenport did stink it up in 1st, I thought 2nd on back was pretty dang good actually. There was plenty of side-by-side racing and passing going on. It don't matter what format or set of rules you have in place. There are going to be features where a team/driver hit everything perfectly like Davenport did an will run off into the sunset with it.

I don’t think anybody is expecting every race to be a barn burner. It’s more the fact that 90% of the races on bigger tracks stink. But the industry keeps blaming it on the size of the track and not the car.

Sure Hagerstown was a solid race last night, how many snoozers until the next good one?

I went on DOD and counted the lead changes. I avergaed them out into 2020s, 2010s , 2000s and 1990s. This excludes the stream and the millions.
So far in the 2020s we have averaged 3 lead changes per race.
2010s averages out to 3.2 lead changes per race.
2000 average out to 1.67 lead changes per race.
1990 average out to 2 lead changes per race.
Somebody feel free to check my math, if I get some free time I'll try and do the world.
