The summer national tour has lost it's luster. Sam smokestack Driggers has ruined it in my opinion. Bring back one month of racing and pay the winner at least 100,000 to win it.

Add Ashton Winger and Terbo. They need to up the pay for these mid-week shows, it was $5k to win in the 90's/ . Fnas will pay more. The Dream was more to start than these $5k shows pay to win, its a shame.

They should cut several nights from the schedule IMO. Hit all the IL tracks, Pevely, Tri State (IN), Burlington & Davenport as the core schedule. Maybe put Paducah in there too. I can't speak to the MI & OH tracks as I have never seen them, but it seems once the series goes to TN or western MO, the car count goes way down. IL & the near border tracks gives you the following tracks if all schedule a race:

            Macon
            Lincoln
            Jacksonville
            Farmer City
            Fairbury
            Spoon River
            Peoria
            Sycamore
            Kankakee
            Brownstown
            Granite City
            Highland
            Davenport
            Pevely
            Tri State
            Burlington
            Quincy (Adams County)

Throw in a few days in MI/OH in that final week & that gets you to the mid 20's for # of races. Could then just focus on running like Thursday thru Sunday (or Wednesday thru Sunday) each week. That is plenty & hits the hotbed tracks. And each night should pay at least $7500 or $10k to win.

Hell Tour is good, but I now do Illinois Speedweek instead...

Cool. 8 tracks in 16 days sounds like great time!

I hit IL for a week of the Hell Tour each year for a while. Brian Shirley's record with me in attendance was squirrelriffic! It's how I discovered what a great track Spoon is and how awesome the popcorn is at Sycamore. Now I head out for Illinois Speedweek which with it's track selection, purses, and the Castrol/Lucas tie-ins nearly guarantees great racing every night... unless it rains! ;-(

On a side note, I'd love to see the ISW/Castrol show at Spoon that rained out rescheduled a day or two before or after the PDC.

Side note 2: I've always pondered if adding a 5th night to ISW would be good or bad? What track would you add?

He'll Tour is my Illinois Speed Week. Of those 8, 6 are in Illinois, Davenport is just across the border and Pevely is the longest drive of 2 hrs and 45 minutes.
Keep your fingers crossed on the Flo / Spoon show. I read somewhere that they were trying to reschedule
Add a 5th track for ISW? MACON.

The Summernationals in Illinois, Pevely, Paducah, Davenport area is fantastic. I'll hit at least 12 - 15 of the races. I skip the races in Michigan, glad they have the fan turn out and get a week but too far for me. I always liked Cedar Lake being on the schedule, but thought UMP should hit a couple tracks heading up there and a few heading back. I still hate driving they way it criss-crosses the state, but I live with it every year.

These races all pay $500 from 11th on back, including the weekend ones. That is just unacceptable in 2024, that's not even covering the costs.
