    The Hunt-The-Front Thread

Only for those that like seeing them sell tee-shirts. Because it makes some REALLY mad. They suck at racing but really successful at selling merch. Man that makes some mad. Really mad.

Couldn't have been much more boring than the LOLMS snoozer last night at Smoky Mountain with all its delays.

Can't race without EMS/ambulance onsite. Had an emergency of some sort. Stuff happens.

Agreed about not racing without EMS onsite but, the race itself wasn't very good.

And to be honest quite a few races this year haven't been that good. I'm not sure what needs to be done at this point other than getting the aero out of the cars but, are the sanctioning bodies willing to address this in a meaningful way.

The cars are a huge issue and the people in charge get further in the weeds with stupid rules and templates instead of broad brush stroke fixes.

How do you establish body rules on 18 different chassis designs? Have to measure from somewhere. Where is the centerline? Go off crank centerline? I'd be satisfied with 1990 STARS body. Looks similar to what they running now but not twisted. Little lower rear deck with symmetrical body. Wish you could post pictures here. But getting a comment on is hard enough.

Here is a video of DLM that has been inverted, a reverse image. This really demonstrates how far off in the weeds these cars are now. https://www.facebook.com/reel/2190953847923907

The humid brain is a strange thing. When we see people in videos/instagram/tik-tok the image is reversed. We don't perceive it. Only if we see the person in real life. That video is perfect example. It looks really strange. Thanks.

Any set of measurements could be built off an infinite plane running off the rr wheel face or hub flange.

Flat deck in all directions is flat. Noses need at frontal height like they had 20 years ago. A convex roof would do wonders. Today's cars look nothing like 1990.

I've heard all kinds of silly ideas about basing body dims off of carb studs and crankshafts. The engine is a moveable piece inside the confines of the car. That's a terrible idea.
