This track is up the road a ways from Ponderosa. Hope it doesn't run the same night. I'm kind of partial to the old Kentucky dirt tracks. I've seen many of the close through the years and miss them all.

Since they built the wall already I'm thinking this track is patterned after some other race track. It would be risky to build a wall first and then find out the cars can't race well on it.

They put up a wall at Twin Cities in turn three and four several years back and the cars never have been able to get around that turn well since.

Wonder if they tested the track out before going ahead with the wall? I certainly would hope so.

Anyone know who’s behind this operation? Hopefully they add some banking to this place. It’s Looking good so far. Glad to have another track in KY! We do not have many options now days

Yes maybe some more banking. Usually pictures make tracks look flatter than what they really are, I hope so in this case.

The pictures and video of the track remind me a little bit of Circle City Raceway in Indianapolis. The racing at Circle City has usually been pretty good. It is always good to see a new track built.

It looks quite flat. More safe I suppose.

The Carey family is building the track. They have a towing&recovery business next to the track and have a truck and tractor pulling series. The track looks nice,I have been there. Still have a lot of work to do such as lights, tower bleachers, concessions, fencing transponder looping etc, etc.Gonna take a while to be ready but, will be nice when done.

The track is located off Hwy 127 north just before the Bluegrass pkwy. on the left coming from Harrodsburg,Ky. Don't know what the exit is on the Pkwy. It would be the Lawrenceburg-Harrodsburg exit.

Tnewton- I think the address for Marshall’s Spirit Shop (liquor store) will be pretty close to it. 2098 Harrodsburg Road, Lawrenceburg KY. You can’t see it on Google Maps yet since it is a new construction.

Yeah. Google Earth photos are often 5 years old or more.

I did check out a closed track the other day and they have removed all of the grandstands and there is no sign a track was ever there except the old outline of the track itself. Bluegrass Speedway Kentucky.

Hope this track races better than the BURG in Indiana. Lawrenceburg.

For Google earth fans, you can copy & paste these coordinates to see what's left of the old Bluegrass Speedway in Bardstown, you can easily see the outline of the old track and another track of some sort adjacent to it 37°46'51.7"N 85°29'12.5"W You can see remnants of turns 1 and 2 and part of the backstretch of the old Taylor County Speedway in Campbellsville, KY with these coordinates 37.35957337683752, -85.32208137807588 What's left of the old Clinton County (KY) racetrack between Albany and Monticello here 36.77133447111759, -85.02236756650679 Sadly, nothing remains of the old Barren County Speedway in Glasgow, KY, but it was located here 37.01272885156082, -85.98390823991467
