Castrol Night at Fairbury

Probably Castrol's most successful show yet with a huge field and great racing. FALS showed once again that it's one of dirt's best LM shows in the country. The locals are very good there and many of the nation's touring best struggled and/or failed to make the A main.

I've been a big fan of Shannon Babb for many years and was a little bummed when Thornton got him for the win at the end. Babb is and always was a class act as is Jason Feger and it was an enjoyable show when the traveling stars don't come in and kick the locals' butts. Would Pierce have won if he hadn't lost an engine in his primary car and had to go to his backup? We'll never know and just added a touch of drama to the show.

That's going to be a tough race to top.

We are at Fairbury for the wee. Hope Friday/Saturday WOO/ PDC is as good as last night’s Flo/Castrol race.
It’s amazing how well organized the entire staff/ show is at Fairbury. Everything is covered 100% and then some.

Isn't that like the third motor in 3-4 weeks? Not a motor guy here do they have Vic building them on the edge or is it something they are doing with their tuning? Its not like the other Vic Hill powerplants are popping like popcorn.

If they're all big C.I. (like what he had for sale last year) I'd say they are giving up a little reliability to gain an advantage in the HP side. Sometimes finding that fine line is difficult (and expensive). That's just my opinion from a 1000 mile view.

Eagle was really good. Some of the S/N races were good.

Wasn’t that engine fairly new? I thought not to long ago in victory lane that BP said it was a new car…?
