By far the weirdest season in recent memory.

Not weird given this Biden inflation and gas price and all this NASCAR type money in dirt late model now. I just hope RTJ puts it on Huddy. Madden has been my favorite driver for a few years. Now he is my favorite crew chief 😁

Such an odd situation with Madden. Goes from being one of the most fierce competitors to basically being done driving and it’s not like he’s washed up.

          What’s your beef with Huddy?

Not the first time Madden has pulled back hard from racing with seemingly no particular reason. The touring stuff can be great financially or it can bleed you or quick depending on how your running and who's paying for what. I Applaud Madden for always having his priorities away from the racetrack in line at all times

In the DOD article he stated to be happy to have more time with his family.

How does a national touring crew chief have more family time than a regional racer?

He told DOD that he cut his racing due to Diverticulitis

That is the first thing I thought. The more I think about it, the Crew Chief does not have the luxury of taking a "few days off' to spend time with his family like a driver can.......guess we will see how it works out for Smokey?

It's all going to make more sense in 5 or 6 months, when the musical chairs start again.

I have no issue with Huddy. I will just be rooting for Madden and his driver.

It doesn’t make sense to pull back from racing to go be a full time crew chief on a national tour.

RTJ learning even more about the game from Owens and Madden is scary.

now instead of two cars out there racing , there is only one , this is going to happen more and more with the cost associated with running and maintaining a car and be able to be competitive
