Would love to see the Hillbilly 100 go back to a Monday Night of Labor Day start at 5p.m. with hotlaps at Tyler County and have the Baltes Classic on Sunday night at Eldora and pay $12,000 to win $1,000 to start and drivers could hit both and maybe do a points for the week where Portsmouth, Tyler County and Eldora as well as Lucas and Flo chip in Money and at the end of the 3 races the top 10 points earners get an extra check say 1st $3,000 and break down to where 10th gets $500.
Hillbilly 100 and Baltes Classic work together?

Nobody gives a darn about the hillbilly anymore. Looks like big changes coming up for that race anyway. Sad.

Pennsboro what are you hearing? I heard that Eldora wanted it moved so the LUCAS guys would show up.

The Baltes Classic is ruining the racing schedule for tracks wanting to run big races the weekend before the World 100.If you're not outraged, you're not paying attention!

They do a driver/owner poll for Lucas oil every year to see which tracks the teams like the best and worst every year. I asked a driver at Florence where Tyler County ranks since it’s the closest track to me that Lucas oil races at. He told me for the last 3-4 years number 1 and 2 on the worst track poll has been Tyler County and Batesville. Being the week before the world 100 is not helping but not many drivers like coming to race there, they get pretty awful car counts for big late model races compared to years past

The reason the hillbilly car count is low is because of Eldora.Originally posted by Drop Shock View PostThey do a driver/owner poll for Lucas oil every year to see which tracks the teams like the best and worst every year. Tyler County races better than 95% of the rest of their schedule. Its downfall is its location. If this is indeed true, it’s hilarious considering some of the places they go to.Last edited by Pennsboro32; 09-03-2024, 10:31 AM.
