And Thorton hasn't done any better. Couldn't get out of his own way this weekend at Knoxville, where he swept all 3 nights last year

RTJ was in 1st and stayed in 1st after the switch. Huddy was in 2nd and dropped to 5th, T-Mac was in 9th and finished 4th. The "Make a Wish" kid Huddy is the one who $hit the bed.

This is completely false. Huddy was outside the top 5 when he got the SSI ride.Originally posted by bleedblue55 View PostRTJ was in 1st and stayed in 1st after the switch. It was Thornton, Davenport, Moran, McCreadie on July 6th
Next was Marlar then HudsonLast edited by MasterSbilt_Racer; 09-22-2024, 08:38 AM.Modern Day Spec Wedge Racing

Agreed but mccreadie and the 1 seem to be building towards a better 100 lap program marks cars have always been blistering fast early and in 50 lap or less events. His drivers have always been able to hustle the car and burn it down to make up the difference. Im hopeful that mccreadie is capable but doesn't want to race that way every night. It's alot easier to diagnose what could've been better or different when the car and tires aren't burned to the ground after the race. The other 3 are just trying to get back what they once had. The ssi car still has the same dig and different attitude that it had when rtj drove it but hud doesn't seem to be able drive it the way it needs to be driven to take advantage. Rtj seems to be lacking in consistency witch may of been the big thing that Burroughs brought to the equation. I also didn't see Madden when rt pitted has that deal already come to an end ?. Sheppard has just not been great in the horns and I'm sure since deciding to part ways his support is dwindling but i also don't feel like he's had a good crew chief that fits him. As demonstrated by all the flip flopping that this year has seen everybody on the team matters and chemistry amongst them probably means more than any other one thingOriginally posted by kidrock View PostNeither has done as well as I thought they would, but neither has Sheppard or McCredie.

You'd think with RTJ and Hudson having off nights, the pickings would be ripe for JD or Moran but 2 WoO guys spoiled the party.🤔8/13/16

Huddy was in 2nd when he left Florida and jumped out of Rocket 1, his poor start with the 71 dropped him like a rock. Burns was financing the operation all along pre SSI or post SSI.Originally posted by MasterSbilt_Racer View Post

Post-Florida means nothing. SSI funding the 71? I don't think so and it doesn't matter to the discussion anyway. How Florida ends definitely doesn't slot a guy into anything as far as the year will go.Originally posted by bleedblue55 View Post

JKing a very good breakdown of all three drivers and teams. I can't disagree with anything you said here.Originally posted by Jking24 View Post

Madden was on a pre-scheduled vacation (I believe it was Jamaica or something like that). He is supposed to be back for Brownstown.Originally posted by Jking24 View Post

So is that why when Burns wanted the 20 team to share info with the 71 team the RTJ split happened. It had everything to do with the situation.Originally posted by MasterSbilt_Racer View Post
