The only thing that made it a "good race" was the back markers being in the way... I agree that the track needs the opportunity to work to improve what is notably not conducive to good racing. The surface was (not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word) good and that is half the battle. They need to invest in new bridges (widen) so that the track can be slightly reconfigured and promote better racing. Been to many races at old Pennsboro and it always sucked and was a (not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)hole - I mean who would ever have thought one would see a Japanese food truck at Pennsboro? Some things just dont belong in WV and that's one of em. The crew did a great job turning a sows ear into a better version of a silk purse - give it time, but if they dont make the track wider this place will be have the same fate as WVMS.

So they say they are widening bridges. Does that mean they’ll be able to move the inside barriers in more to widen the racing surface up some? To me, if they could move the barriers in another 8 feet or so, they’d have a good racy track. The surface dirt looks great.

Who knows what they're going to do. I'd tear the bridges out and put in huge culverts under the track. Move 1-2 in at least 10 ft., move 3-4 in 15-20 to improve entrance angle.

I'd just move 3/4. Leave it Darlington like and keep 3/4 little tricky. But get it down to 3/8 ish mile long. Definitely replace/upgrade both bridges. Not sure if allowed to create an aqueduct thru the property? Pour concrete U all the way thru. Make it easy to add multiple bridges across to make pits better. They could make it so use flatbed trailers to span across for race weekends.

Ok homer... If that was a good race you need to get out more and expand your horizons. The crew there deserves a lot of credit as the work they have put in to date is very impressive. But if they want the place to be successful, additional changes will be required (and it appears that is in the planning.) Mad about a Jap truck at Pennsboro? lol.... yea, I was so bent outta shape I could hardly see straight - dont be a knob gobbler...

I don’t give a (not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word) if lapped traffic was the only reason it was exciting. I’ve seen far worse races at plenty of other tracks this season.

It's cool to see the place revived, hopefully it will one day draw the big names like it used to back in the day, looking at this weeks results, the field was mostly unknowns (note- unknown to me)
