Rocket XR 1.2 is a Bloomquist Chassis

I was at Rocket Chassis yesterday and while walking around the fab shop, a New XR 1.2 was being welded up on the jig. While walking around the jig, I happened upon a tag on the jig that said Bloomquist 2023. I had heard that Richard's actually visited Scott at his shop in Tennessee last year and the jig was shipped to the Rocket shop shortly after!?...Hmmmmm. Does Scott's legacy live on in West Virginia and Tennessee??

84wedge, Always looking for answers and Mastersbilt, I could very well have, however, it looked pretty legit to me. It was an engraved stamped steel looking tag. about 2"x4" and tac welded on each corner with Bloomquist logo and 2023. Looked pretty legit to me. I walked further into the shop and when I came back, there was a rag over said tag!! I just think its funny that Mark went to Tennesse, comes back with a jig and suddenly the 1.2 comes out a few months back....I will be the first to admit, I could be totally wrong about this. Was just kind of taken back when I saw that tag on a jig producing Rocket Chassis. If its fake, someone went to alot of trouble creating it.

Rocket posted pics of the crew at Scott’s shop. Mark and Scott were absolutely working on something together when Scott met his untimely demise.

Sources are buzzing with news that Josh Richards, famously known as “Kid Rocket” and son of the legendary Mark Richards (owner of Rocket Chassis), could be in the process of making a highly anticipated return to racing! But that’s not all—rumor has it that he’ll be teaming up with none other than Brandon Sheppard, who is also speculated to rejoin the Rocket1 team.

I just read an article about Kid Rocket and Shepard teaming up for 2025 so sounds like this could be true.

That is true. Mark even said that himself. However, I don't believe the new car is a zero copy. The parts go on an old car too.

I wouldn't mind Josh coming back, he was pretty consistent at being a dirty a-hole driver and I need someone new to boo.

Interesting. Way back folks claimed that the Orange front end Rocket was a Bloomquist copy also.... and that car was prolly the worst experiment to come out of Shinnston.

Also interesting to hear of Josh's return. Is he coming back as a driver, or coming back to take over some of the business side? I could see Mark maybe wanting to start that transition into slowing down some. Do you suppose the Rocket house car could be racing out of Brandons shop? He was fairly persistent about wanting to be home more.
