    Vado or Volusia?

If you could do one or the other, which would you pick? We are thinking about a trip to Vado in 25. We did Volusia a few years ago and enjoyed it also.

If you’ve already done Volusia, seems like Vado would be the natural choice to go to. Then again, I like checking out new places.

The Southwest is something to behold. I'd take that over Florida any day.

Us men want to do Vado...we are bringing the wives and I was a little leary of the sand storms/ cold...only a couple weeks of different timing. We are looking at Vado more and more. Where is the best to fly into? Rental cars? Hotels? We are still doing our research

We’ve been to both and like both. With that said I’d choose Vado. You fly into El Paso. Rental cars are right at the airport. The track is in between El Paso and Las Cruces right off the freeway and everywhere is really easy to get around. Never really noticed sand storms. Lots of hotel options. Cool landscape. Palm trees and mountains.

El Paso is closest and a small airport. But, you may want to choose airport based on other activities you choose to do or prices. I'd also recommend Vado over FL if you have been to Florida before. Do prepare for it to be cold at night. It will be.

I love the mountains visible from the Los Cruces area. It looks like the surface of Mars. The mountains are all very round because they are very old and have eroded away. I worked in El Paso for a week and couldn't believe the amount of gay bars, not that there's anything wrong with that.
