    Nothing but Greed @ Charlotte

Race sells out every year I'm guessing 20-30K people, Charges $15 more per ticket and concessions 2x-3x more than Eldora yet pays 15K, 15K and 25K for a so called "Final Crown Jewel".

Guarantee you didn’t even consider the over head the facility has. I’ve been there and it’s a first class dirt track..

I have never been to this show, but $139 ticket to see 3 complete shows with 2 (or 3) premier series doesn't seem out of line.

If it ain't broke then don't fix it. Must be doing something right to sell it out every year. Format and payout has improved over the years.

I'm not complaining about the fan experience.. I'm talking about what they bring in vs. what they payout.

They were charging $10 a car to park at joliet, nascar facilities = nascar prices is what it is. I will say having a camping spot on asphalt for some reason seems to feel fancier lol

Not sure why anyone would expect CMS to start paying more, car counts are great, fan count is great, etc. They are a business; goal is to balance all of the expenses vs the income and make as much as you can. What happens in the year that it rains, or covid happens and they can't have the event? Everyone ready to chip in and cover the loss they will take? Maybe a charter system, everyone is tied in to both sides of the pie and we spread the gain or loss over the entire group? Sell the charters and allow collective bargaining; wait, that is being tried and doesn't look quite as glamorous as it sounds....

I always though The Dirt Track at Charlotte was a good value for what you saw. And from Day 1, I knew that it was just a Humpy Wheeler sideshow for that big track across the street. That one is NASCAR so the little one will be much like the big track....expensive. Be that as it may.......Charlotte was always great fun for 4 days!

$139/3 full shows = $46.33 per night and you get grandstands (not a bad seat in the house) and 3 days of pit passes where you could rub elbows with Sott Bloomquist, Steve Kinser, and any of the whos- whos in Super Late Model, Winged Sprint Car, & Big Block Modified racing. That's the BOMB!

Yes and apparently loads of it at certain tracks. Do they really get a bigger crowd at Charlotte than Eldora? I would be surprised.

I just checked a website and it says the seating capacity at the Charlotte dirt track is 14,000 which would be less than Eldora.

This is basically like seeing super dirt week, Knoxville nations, and the world all rolled into one event. I've always said it's one of the best shows of the year if you are a true race fan. There are endless things to do away from the race track that is motorsports related. I'm not a big NASCAR follower anymore, but we did visit several of their shops while we were down there.

It was my favorite race of the year when I was going year after year.

Something I haven't normally seen at other big venues is the sheer number of people working at the track during the Finals. It must be 100s upon 100s of people!

I don't think they get as many people as Charlotte, however there are probably more in the pits so it is deceiving; seems like the pit viewing 'rotates' through the divisions so if everyone was there at once....On a second note, come up to Trackhouse Motorplex (formally GoPro Motorplex) while you're in town, will be a ton of dirt racing people there and you never know on the racer side who will show up.

Was thinking if high limit, lucas, and imca stock cars could have a WoO finals deal somewhere it would be cool. Maybe vegas, texas, knoxville, or joliet.
