None the less only 2 drivers ran every feature.

I'm seeing the Lucas name more and more in NHRA drag racing.

As if we don't know this by now, racing sponsorships come and go. Have no idea what Lucas Oil was paying for this owned series. What was there return? Look at all the sponsorships that have come and gone in the motorsport's world. STP, Interstate Battery, Target, Fed Ex....the list goes on and on. I remember when Ford and Castrol Oil left John Force. We thought that was the end of the Force Racing. This year they win a championship. Company marketing objectives change.

MLRA was A GREAT regional series that fed drivers to national tours. Something hanky happened at Lucas because they had already announced tour dates for springfield, LOS, tri city and more. Even if Forrest has to split the empire upon 7 kids there should be plenty to go around. Greed never made any situation better imo.

It became a garbage series after they abandoned their passing points format.

The only thing Lucas is focusing on is ruining Supet Late Model racing forever. Their format is horrible and has no passing and they’ve let the cars get so expensive that the division is in decline
