Nice research and collection of series. I guess the sponsors, track bookings, car counts, and fan support will determine if there are too many.

Series come and series go. I don't think it makes much difference. Competition with purses will bode well for drivers/owners in an ever increasing, expensive endeavor. And having choices is always nice.

On the National side, as far as I can tell, we're good. I think it's giving guys in the regions where those tours go more opportunities to race at that level. On the regional side, at least in my area, I think we're getting a little heavy. I want there to be plenty of options for racers and fans but I don't want to see fan and car counts suffer because there aren't enough to go around when we have multiple series racing on the same weekend. But with some of the series, you really can't count them as "compeition" against other series because they do something different. I.e. the steel block tours don't really affect the super tours. The Southern Wedge tour, is very localized and caters to a very specific set of rules unique to that series, so it doesn't detract from any other track or series.

I really hope James Essex gets that Northern All Stars series going strong. That was a great series a while back. I believe there is room for more series races in Indiana. Brownstown, Lawrenceburg, Kokomo, Haubstadt, Circle City, and a few more north. We don’t see a bunch of top series in this state. Lots of USAC.

Nobody has built a car specifically for that rules package yet. I wish they were a little closer to me, I'd made them upset.

They are still running 4 link suspension, z link, or similar. They've made a few rules that they believe forces the cars to race the way you saw.

I think there are way too many here in the south but at least now there is a clear premier regional series with HTF series.

I will also add that there are way too many LM classes here in the south.

604/525/Super are all but dead here in NE Georgia, at least weekly. 602 is the default engine in just about everything now, including the water truck and the concession stand grill. Junk motor racing abounds. Most of it is based in the socialist mindset of everyone must be equal, the same guys who never wash their cars or do much of any other work on their cars, so they cry for "equality of engines" everyone must run junk, maybe then they can win without work or expense.

They look tight tight tight in the corners.

In midwest, MARS has really done good things last couple years since the Fairbury group took it over. They provide a solid show especially on the nights they run the mods & late models together. They have carved out a setup where most of their shows are on the regular night for that track (mostly Friday or Saturday shows) so it basically gives the locals a beefed up weekly show and a few biggies during the year. Of course anything that Matt Curl is heading up is going to be well organized & thought out.

Other than that, the Summernationals has really lost the buzz the last few years IMO. Lots of nights of 2/3 heats, no B main & the feature. Nowhere near what it used to be. The Lincoln IL show this past summer was over barely past sundown. Was an ok show but not worth the $30 at the gate to see 22 cars (several of which were crates). So few tracks run open LM weekly so they aren't adding good cars to the field when summernationals come to town. Of course the $5k to win type of shows don't really bring the cars out like they did 10 plus years ago. SN keeps running out the same show pretty much every year with minimal purse increase & field gets thinner every year.
