Due to shrewd business decisions, most likely suggested by their racing lawyer/wife. Again...if judged strictly off wins, huge disappointment. But if you go by fact they are 5ish years into fully supporting at least three families, I'd call that a success.

If I was paying the bills I'd appreciate having a driver most other drivers respect for how he races. I completely disagree with whole idea of root & gouge and never lift. I like not spending 3-4 hours rebuilding the car just so it will roll in the trailer. The move to LongHorn was a mistake. Just never worked for them. The high dollar engines, IMO, another fail. The Clements sure seems like a grenade with loose pin. Maybe they just suck? I mean they ARE FloridaMan, amiright?
So.... literally the most reliable engine builder in the industrys engines were a gernade with a loose pin ?

I would argue Jack Cornett's motors are more reliable ... while I realize there are a HUGE number of Clements being driven they have at least there share of detonations ...

Clements went into business, I believe, in 1956. Over almost 70 years, racers can't get enough of those grenades!

A lot of those detonations are the results of too long between refreshing or missed maintenance.

When did they get that engine & how many laps has it run? 2000ish? Out now for 3rd time I think? But do believe once was because they lost the oil pump belt and was just a precautionary teardown/roll new bearings in. Wasn't hurt bad but close. So maybe I expect more "cushion". It's just an opinion. Amazes me how so many here get butthurt about others opinions. Remember that saying!

Main thing I've seen here is criticism of the HTF racing program. But If I say anything remotely critical, but also true,I'm a hater. Whatever.

I'll just take my toys and go home you big bully. LMAO!
