agreed that a date change to a time where weather is much more likely to cooperate would be ideal but on top of Speedweeks isn’t it…maybe reshuffle around the same dates so it’s not quite so drawn out. They have everything they need there except for the weather. Other thing where there’s a LOT of room for growth is more attendance from locals. Not sure how you pull them in but there’s a couple million people living all around that race track within a hour and it’s super easy to get to. When I’ve been there, it seems almost everyone there are travelers from the north. It’s not the only western track like that. Vegas has the same issues. More back gate/streaming events than anything.

Both touring series are off for a month after Florida. Weather would be milder first of March. Makes sense.

Going to late February at Vado would raise the average temperature about 10℉... Certainly something to think about!

Red is high temp, blue is low. The darker bands are the 90% chance lines.

This year was our first time ever going to Vado...the facility is top notch, the racing was amazing, and the experience was AWESOME! I'll agree, it was chilly out. Having said that, our group is already planning on going back next year! I encourage everyone to make it out there! Where else can you go racing in January?

              Golden Isles? We'll see.
Glad I didn't plan a trip south just to sit in a hotel room.

Golden Isles is almost as cold as Vado every year and this year looks no different. With East Bay no longer being a thing this was the year to give GIS more favorable dates, I was surprised they didnt do that. Lucas needs to start AFTER the January WoO races at Volusia or have their opening weekend at Ocala where its warmer than Georgia.

I have no clue why we keep moving it forward.

^^^ My reason for not attending GI since Lucas started the season in Brunswick.

We have been to Vado all 4 years. The facility is exceptional. It is cold at night, but I felt much colder at Golden Isles and the old Oglethorpe Speedway. That dampness in the south chills my old bones.

because outlaws only had one week of racing in speedweeks since they left screven so they started sunshine nationals which was a pretty good deal, almost a month between those 2. Lucas didnt like WoO being first out the gate. Racing anywhere in Georgia makes zero sense in january
