I read somewhere that sports betting for dirt late models was just around the corner. Has anyone heard any updated information on this?

It sounds like to me it's been a mess. I don't know if there has been any betting done with the late model stuff as the world of outlaws haven't ran a race since the deal was announced.

Just like the Black Sox scandal, just like the demise of the Dixie Classic basketball tournament, betting will kill all sports if left unchecked. Players, drivers, etc. will eventually start throwing games, finishing orders and such for money. It's now allowed for college athletics. How long before it gets down to the high school level? Oh, and coming to a racetrack near you soon.

Especially at the dirt track level, there could be financial incentive to fix it. if they allow head to head type betting, 2 guys could conspire to fix the battle for 7th & make more $ from that than they would from the purse. So far the only betting I've seen is win bets. That is a bit harder to fix & there is less incentive to do so.

Boy if they do Lolm and WOO better figure out a different format. Bets would need to be placed before show starts. If not there gonna have to implement some sort of "Billy Moyer sandbag rule" Lolm anyone from front row,their series format is so predictable. Bring back the dashes for front 3 rows. Make it race your way in "Not qualify" your way in.

It has worked fine for usac I don't see it being an issue. Just bet 20rt or 32 every race and you will come out ahead in the end

Their odds would likely be very hard to bet. -200 to win isn’t worth the risk. Meaning you would have to bet $200 to win $100. Nobody beats the Sportsbook long term so thinking you’re going to come out ahead is hilarious.

There are professionals that pull it off, but they are few. I've always been up on draft kings, going on 5 years straight now, but not enough to amount to anything.

I'd think it would be possible to do well in woo lm if you are a guy who's somewhat connected to several teams. I know you can't actually be on the team, but you could still be someone who's aware of some developments.

They are very few and far between. If you hit 56% you’re doing well. I’ve been sports betting for 10+ years. You certainly can have a couple good years, sustainability is difficulty. The books have every upper hand and years worth of data. If you even start to win good money, the book will kick or limit you. I’ve seen many people rise and fall in that industry.

There is an edge in (DFS), daily fantasy sports. I normally take a few thousand every winter on NBA. This is the same thing as dirt draft. Dirt draft could be big if you actually got to play for real money. All that effort isn’t worth it to me for a T-shirt of race tickets.

I agree but I actually subsidize my fantasy with my sportsbook winnings. Haha I have to be in the minority. There are folks who obviously win in fantasy much more than they lose. I see the same names at the top pretty often.
