I do wish someone would do a "True" open tire series, ANY brand, then we'd see some better racing with comers and goers. JMO

Hoosiers are the dominant tire in the area and almost every racer they had on tour last year runs Hoosiers. This move is symbolic at best, and will destroy all of the above at worst.

Open tire rules are the best move if you want to attract max racers.

This will be the end of ULMS. They don’t really bring anything with them to a race that makes it worthwhile for the promoters. Several tracks like Port Royal have realized this and stopped them. This will kill car counts and finish off this series for good.

thats like saying a 604 is the dominant engine in a crate series, when the rules are wrote for you its easy to make that claim

Port Royal has AR options and pretty much everybody runs Hoosiers anyways. AR builds a fine tire, but they don’t have the kind of stroke to make moves like this in a class that’s not modifieds.
