Dirt on Dirt, Rusty Schlenk article!

What a fantastic article on Schlenk and his racing career, good to see grass roots and smaller budget teams still doing well in this sport. Made my day.

I like the fact his son is following in dad's footsteps. 2nd generation racers are good for the sport.

I like Rusty and what’s he’s doing with continuing what Rayburn was doing, but he really struck a nerve with me with what he did with Eldora when they had the invitation race during Covid

Whined and cried about locals not being invited until he got invited, when I don’t believe he’s regularly supported the big events there ever or has been back since. But he got his invite

doesn't support many races with top competition

He wasn't the only one. It was a crappy deal in my opinion. A really big event was replaced by an event where your attendance was a popularity contest.

True, but don’t cry about it when you don’t ever show up for open events

                            Agree 100%.
Why is making your opinion known considered crying? BS.

Those Eldora covid events were the height of covid theater. Like they couldn't have allowed 100 teams to show up given the size of that facility.
