Only knock on the week was there wasn't much in the way of lead changes after LaSalle. JD led whole way at Spoon. I think Devin led whole way at Lincoln. Did not see feature Friday night & missed first 20 laps of Saturday. Not sure if there was a lead change in those either. Battles behind the leader were good all week.

That Longhorn factory house car sure is lacking something. 9 different Longhorns ranked ahead of them. Not dominating on the Lucas party either. Set up guy? Driver? Bad luck? Maybe they should put Jr. Sexy in it. He's been fast and had some good results for a team that's probably not as well funded as some others.

they must have been testing stuff last year too because that car rarely gets to the winners circle. I don't think any house cars are out there winning every weekend anymore.

Nicely done/compiled Snake! No surprise that 4 of the top 8 were boys who cut their teeth on the black dirt of Illinois.

In totality, Illinois Speedweek is a great event. I've made three of the four (couldn't make 2024) and will be back booking hotels and plane flights for 2026 as soon as airline schedules open up. I just hope my hotel in Lincoln has truly hot water next year! Those of you who live within a short driving distance of these tracks--I'm jealous! I can't wait to come back for the PDC.

The one thing I screwed up was using the numbers Lucas quotes for money won. Their figures include the Victory Circle payouts of $700 per driver with perfect attendance. It also includes the bonuses they pay for past champs, points leader, rookie of the race etc. It doesn't amount to enough to change the order, but I did fix it for my own purposes. Thornton got like $1400 per Lucas race.
