Both the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and the World of Outlaws Late Model Series are off that weekend so it would not be a surprise to see any of those tour drivers to stop in before they make their trek to Eldora Speedway for the Dirt Late Model Dream.

31 cars tonight. Kind of a thin field for tonight’s format. Woulda guessed they’d pull 40 or so.

The Twin 25 format was really interesting.

Tonight is $1200 to start, so I would expect them to pick up some cars. Neither Peoria nor FALS are running tonight (LM's at least), so maybe some of the locals.

Where was Spatola, by the way?

As good as the first 2 nights at lasalle were. Tonight is already turning into a (not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)show. An hour late and probably not close to starting. Looks like somebody in the pits is having to go to the hospital.

Once it got going the races were good. Track was hammer down. Shirley probably had the fastest car but he jumped the cushion one too many times. Didn’t like the late start but I’d rather the track start late cause of too much water vs it being a rubber down mess cause of not enough water.

This race brought back some old memories of the days with Pierce, Unzicker, Sheppard, Feger, Babb Erb, Jr, Shirley, Hackenast running the Summer Nationals together. Good times....

I was in the there at LaSalle last night and the racing was pretty darn good once the show got going.

On a side note thought I did see on Facebook Chris Simpson posted this on his Facebook page.
”Racing for 25,000 running 75 laps and finished 5th. 3,000 dollars.”
