    Battle between announcers brewing?

Did anyone catch before a WoOLM Amain the other night when Ruben said we dont or talk about whats in our hair, random college sports, or what coffee we drink. I can see a grudge match happening with Crown Vics before the World 100 sponsored by Hoker Trucking and Coltman Farms.

They each have their flaws. I’ll just say that.

Reuben should just keep his mouth shut and do his job. Maybe take some notes from Ben, Dustin, and James on how not to scream.

What did Dustin and Ben say? I tried to go back to Saturday night and find it but could not. Seems to me there is some kind of big dic* contest going on between these guys. I remember when Ruben said the WoO have the highest payouts in the industry and Essex posted on here that was not true. Also, every Lucas broadcast, he refers to Lucas as the number one touring series in America. While on every WoO broadcast, Ruben repeats the highest payouts in the industry line.

Well the outlaws don’t even acknowledge that Lucas is a series.

Yes they do. I’ve heard Lucas races mentioned MANY times in DirtVision broadcasts. Of course they’re not going to go out of their way to talk about a different series but many many times when discussing driver accomplishments I’ve heard them mention the Lucas Series. Same the other way around. Both series are thriving. I’d imagine WoO Sprints won’t acknowledge High Limit is a thing though.

Lucas and WoO were really close to working together like ten years ago. Since then they’ve grown further apart than they ever have ever been.

For the longest time they wouldn’t. Maybe that’s changed recently but from what races I’ve watched, they sure don’t.

Flo is the superior product and Lucas oil is the superior series. Ruben is in the B league.

That's being generous putting Ruben in the B League. More like the D League. If he wouldn't yell so much he could move up to the C League. It still baffles me on how he got that job when there is so many better announcers out there. Must work for peanuts.

when they did the 4 wide dustin said we dont have any slogans or music to play. IMO the ultimate would be having essex call the race by himself, dustin is about the same as dilner was

thank you, I figured something was said on the Flo side to get ruben to fire back. I like Dustin, there’s no comparison between him and Dillweed. However, it does seem like Essex focuses more and is more serious when he has the announcing duties on his own. When him, Dustin and Ben are together it tends to turn into comedy hour. I don’t know about most people but when I watch a broadcast, I want to hear about racing, not jokes or other sports etc. So whether people like Ruben or not and I don’t mind him other then the screaming, what he said has some validity to it.

This along with every race they announce is the best and greatest race ever run.

That was the second time the Dustin Jarrett took a pot shot at WoO. He did it during speedweeks too. I am pretty sure it was Ocala. So I see no problem with Reuben firing back.
