Janes is much better by himself.
I don’t get it eith Shelton: flys 1st class to the tracks, rental car,lodging, and then his pay.
Seems like alot of $$ for a 20 second heat race interview and the podium finishers.
iI would assume he is on Flo’s expense account?
He and Dustin basically just root James out snd it’s continuously getting worse.

For me and my opinion. James is the best in the business.. His knowledge of the sport is top notch..

I totally agree with everyone that Essex is better by himself announcing. Dustin and Ben are a little high on themselves and they sound like they have their hands in each others pants when they’re announcing together, it sounds like a pure bromance going on to me. Somebody needs to get Randy Weaver calling more races IMO.

there’s no comparison between him and Dillweed.

100% agree. Dilner and his "I like 3 digit numbers" "I like (insert color) colored cars" and his constant flubbing of facts about drivers and racing was inexcusable. He was nothing more than a casual late model fan and it showed nightly. Nice guy. Terrible announcer.

I personally think all three are great announcers individually. I to am not a fan of the child like bantering back and forth that ben and Dustin do but people seem to enjoy it and that's what their payed for to entertain. When ben was the woo announcer he was second to non and his attention to detail about every team in the pits national or otherwise was unparalleled. Ruben will get their he is just young and enthusiastic he will find his rhythm.

IMO, James Essex with Dale McDowell in the booth with Randy Weaver as the pit reporter would be a good trio. Strictly business with enough humor mixed in to keep it interesting. Dustin and Ben sound like two female teeny boppers drooling over the starting high school star quarterback.

While not a fan of the silly humor, I think DJ does a great job announcing the actual race. If you were listening and not watching, you'd know exactly what was happening amongst the top ten. I'd give him the top nod amongst the 3.
