Wonder if Tariffs have anything to do with "global business changes"? Think that's how I saw it worded.

Absolutely nothing to do with this situation. LH is looking to build a new revenue stream by replacing a vendor and adding perceived value.

I take it as you might think LH is going into the shock biz — with all of the others of witchcraft and magic wands. Or am I reading too much into your comment?

They did a press release saying they are building their own shocks. No longer affiliated with Bilstein.

Of course. The profit margins are insane already. Imagine what you can add to it if it's an exclusive piece for the hottest jig built pile of tubes?

They've already been advertising for 5 days, about pistons and a rr shock. They are just getting started.

I think it is more about letting people know that they service all types of shocks and are obviously working on some pieces of their own. Smart decision, might as well be making as many parts as you can- one stop shopping. Good people at Longhorn, Arpin realizes he can grow while helping to control their program.

It won't be long until you are buying a set of shocks with your car that have red anodized, LH branded pieces on all 4. They may work on whatever you have, but if it isn't one of the new ones, you "can't compete"

Not him. The device would have made it cheaper. The rules fools have made it expensive.

^^^^^ That is the truest post I have read on here in a long time. Sure wish the goons in charge could understand what they have done.

What changes to suspension rules would you suggest? Or no rules? Are most of your complaints about the body? Suggestions? Not being snarky. What would make it cheaper and better racing?

Yes, the bodies make way too much down force. Historically, you could do most anything you wanted with the suspension and the costs were contained by keeping the down force low. High down force race cars are always expensive race cars. You need much more power and everything in the drive line takes much more abuse.

That includes the tires. The extra normal force and extra power behind them rubbers tracks much more quickly too.

That right there is the simplest and clearest explanation of what has went wrong and where the state of SLM racing is at.
