Longhorn merge with Stuckey Enterprise

Can't wait to hear from the Longhorn nuthuggers when Rocket gets back on track. It will eventually happen.

Even when Rocket was strong with Lanigan, McDowell, Eckert, Rocket1, Clanton, McCreadie, Francis, etc there was always a group of drivers in other chassis to keep the playing field somewhat level. Bloomer, Owens and Brady Smith in Team Zero’s, Mars and Birky in MB’s, and Moyer/Babb in whatever they had at the time. Right now there is no parity, Longhorn is sweeping everything aside from what Terbo can win.
They need an influx of talent to get wins but they don’t have a chassis to do it with on a national level.

Blame the other manufacturers for not being forward thinking and striking a similar deal.
I get and agree that Longhorn controlling almost all of the success is not good for the sport, but in no way will I blame Arpin, Rumley or anyone else associated with Longhorn for where things are. They have made smart business decisions: Get the best people and drivers together and dominate. It’s up to the others to make decisions to cut into their market share the same way Longhorn did.

I’ll blame the guy who thinks there is nothing wrong with twisted cars and endless engineering costs. That’s Steve Arpin.

how long does rocket1 stay with this fox experiment? they used to be able to win races off of the cushion, i cant remember the last time ive seen them win in the slick

I think some of y’all are putting way too much thought into this. I don’t see where it’ll hurt the sport at all. Stuckey will sell a few cars in his area and probably do repair work on a chassis. As far as him bringing more innovation and knowledge to longhorn I don’t really see it. He put all of his knowledge and innovation into the Black Diamond and it didn’t work out real well. Longhorn has elevated themselves to the top without someone else’s help.

Ronnie has always been good at putting his touches on a chassis built by someone else. I don't believe he has forgot how to make race cars fast, but you gotta have a platform capable of winning before tweaks will put them in victory lane. Black Diamond hasn't been the same since Mike Humprey was killed by that drunk driver IMO.

Obviously Steve Arpin believes Ronnie will be an asset to Longhorn.
