    Macon Herald & Review 100

Anyone go to Macon for the Herald & Review 100? Looked like quite the finish. Congrats to young Trey Mills on the win. Sheppy raced him hard and clean!

Not too clean in his heat race. An what provisional did he get as he didn't get track for points an hasn't followed ump or summer nationals much this year.

Good question. He didn't have fast time or even start the B Main. There were 5 provisionals.

I wonder the same thing. The only thing I can think is the guys that were in front of him in points either were not there, or scratched for the night. If I'm looking at it right, the only two in front of him that was there was hunzicker and Brody Smith. hunzicker probably did the right thing by not taking it. I don't know much about the little Smith brother.

I watched it online. Was a wild race. Lots of yellows early & turned into a good race later on. It appeared to be a pretty small crowd for that race. I'm sure the heat didn't help & that is why I didn't go. That race is usually packed like sardines in the stands. As to B Shepp getting in the race, summer national rules allow for a promoters option provisional. The rules also appear to allow a track to choose to add another one at their choosing if announced in drivers meeting. Guessing he got one of those.

I think it's called a zip code provisional.

Promoters choice? If so, right call. Put in someone that can put on a show vs. start and park. Plus, what’s with the no changing tires in heat races? That’s a bs rule.

People act like Sheppard isn't a past champion and a car that would of earned a starting spot for the feature without the misfortune in the heat. As far as the tire changing. I could be wrong but i feel like it's always like that at Macon
