Overton, Richards and Landers suffered some injuries there and weren't the same after.

I don't think it's Riggs/Longhorn making the change. I think it's Overton leaving so he can resume earning to his potential during his prime years. No idea who they will pick to replace him as I don't know who the Riggs' hate. Whoever fits that bill, that will be who they hire.

No but we don’t have any concrete news. But Hoffman was the first name.

His deal he had with Wells was perfect, he got to pick and choose whatever parts/pieces he wanted and the help, no restrictions except to run the Longhorn by Wells. Now he's in the reverse, the whole package is dictated to him and I'm guessing he's saddled with their new 'In-House" shock program too. I've said it before I see shades of CBR, seemingly the best stuff money can buy but the performance and consistency is "out to lunch". CBR had staff issues that hamstrung them, I think Riggs/LH may have a similar issue, not to mention being the "Lab Rat" for LH. Why Overton left the Wells setup is beyond me, but he looks to me like he needs a more independent deal to regain his prowess while he's still in his prime. Having now seen 2 top flight drivers go flat-line in the Riggs team tells me its the team that has the issue. Does anyone know what went wrong at Wells? What was the issue between LH and Wells that Wells started Infiniti? Curious, seems like Infiniti is on the rise, maybe not perfect yet, but gaining ground...

That car has been fast in qualifying and goes backwards come feature time. Not so sure it's the team.

                  Overton forgot how to race?

Wouldn't think so but explain the race pace disappointment.

                      The Riggs team = CBR.

It's as unexplainable to us as the Sheppard failure was. I agree with Henry Every, it is very similar to the CBR situation. Doesn't matter who Riggs gets, they're going to fail to meet expectations. You could give them the benefit of the doubt after Sheppard, but Sheppard and Overton aren't going to struggle if it isn't something team rather than driver related.

The car is trash when it's slick.

Let's not forget Sheppard won a WoO championship.

LOL...yeah...he "won" the WoO championship. Which was the only thing he won that year.

Seriously though, those 3 WoO wins were tied for fourth or fifth on the tour with Madden, who ran 17 races. I like B-Shep, but he was gifted that title.

And Bobby would have ran away with it had he not had the penalty.
