40-50 cars. Same usual suspects in victory lane.

It's a cool event, it just sucks it is so far away for some.

I dunno. It's a 3 hour drive from my home and I go almost every year but I'm still stinging about last year. They tried, but could have tried better. They did move the show up but they still messed around a bunch and wasted a good amount of time and every person in the stands was looking at the radar on their phones and wondering, why? I mean, everyone with a smart device could see what was brewing. It could have been a great feature race but it was just good for six laps before the sky opened up on them and then it was - a completed program. There are so few 100 lappers anymore so I was really hoping they would have tried harder.

      Maybe I'll go, maybe not.

It is a cool event. Between the local late models and the touring late models it is an all late model show, which is nice. When things go right, weather wise, they do everything they can to get the track in the best possible shape they can. They are rather married to the race starting in the dark so they can do the intros the way they like to so it will be a late one at times.
Political correctness,...is the inability to speak the truth about the obvious.

If the weather people can be trusted, they say 73 high for Thursday, 75 high for Friday, and 76 high for Saturday at New Richmond, Wisconsin (Cedar Lake) ---no rain they say
-night lows 52, 54, and 57 They are just coming out of a short heat wave.

I just try to change my mindset that they move at a different pace. Not the pace I'd prefer. FALS did great on Friday, but they could give up 50% of their pre-race celebration and could have gotten the race in before the rain on Sat. I realize they had things scheduled and it is hard to change their plans. Even without weather, speed it up.

That pre race hype stuff needs to always be subject to change if the weather is iffy. If there is a solid chance of rain in the forecast you have to either ditch stuff or change the timing of it in interest of getting the show done before rain hits. I wasn't there & didn't turn the PPV on til later in the evening but I understand they had to wait quite a while for a fly over as part of pre race. I'm sure it was cool but when there is a 50 plus % chance of rain by 10:00 at night you can't hold up the show for that.

Won't bag on FALS too much tho cause they get it right about 98% of the time & they did put in the work to finish the show late at night when most everywhere not named Eldora or Knoxville would have pushed it to a day race on Sunday.

heard recently from people I trust there could be a surprise entrant making a return at Cedar Lake. That was a couple weeks ago it was being discussed but fans would be excited if true. Don’t want to say who because I don’t know if it will happen but will be interesting to see. As for FALS, I don’t blame them for the way they handled it. No matter what someone would be upset.

I see Smokey Madden is signed in at Cedar Lake. A little surprised to see him traveling. guessing it’s the Kale Green car he raced at the Southern Nationals ?
