Shane McDowell stated: to race for 75k on Saturday you have to race 2 preliminary nights where 5th place only pays 1k. Doesn’t pay the tire bill for the night. He said they are a small team and have to operate it as a business.

Might have something to do with being arrested a little while back.

I thought about this earlier. 6k to win shows are nothing, those should be minimum 10k. Take it off the 75k if you have to.

When they were doing the passing points heats a few years ago, did those actually pay anything?

Tyler Erb drove right by Florence to go to Magnolia in Mississippi.
Apparantly there is something wrong with this 3 day format for 75k to win on Saturday. I am here for all 3 days but i am disappointed with only 51 cars. Neither of the Erb’s, Babb, T-Mac, Conleys, and on and on.
maybe Thursday should be a total 1 day show with Friday being the preliminary night 75k North South.
Lucas Oil should look deeply into why on 51 cars. Heck some of the mid week hell tour races drawed nearly as many cars for (k to win.

I think the Saturday format is great. Six heat races, b-mains, and the 100 lapper. It's like it used to be before it was sanctioned. I'm not sure what the answer is.

In the early 2000's, the drivers and car owners were against the standard two-day shows that dominated during that time. They went to one-day shows, running two and sometimes three on a weekend. With these premier events, the move has been to go back to multi-day events. But the preliminary nights don't pay a whole lot and we're slowly seeing guys balk at these. It's a shame a $75k to win race on a racy track can only draw 51 cars.

51 isn't a bad count these days. There might be 30 guys with a chance at a top 10

The hell tour serves a different set of drivers. Many that are usually not going to be at a big Lucas event run hell tour events.
