I will say if race control has the ability to communicate with the driver being overtaken, it would be in everyone's best interest to give him a heads up, "#10 your being lapped stay to the inside..." or whomever. But as to not letting guys with less than stellar equipment not even on the track, "NO" I don't agree with that kinda elite thinking.
Do you agree with Marlar?

I don’t understand the thinking of not using the flag.Originally posted by Henry Every View PostI will say if race control has the ability to communicate with the driver being overtaken, it would be in everyone's best interest to give him a heads up, "#10 your being lapped stay to the inside..." or whomever. Is the blue/yellow flag : a move over flag or hold your line?
i have heard 2 different versions.

Depends on where you are racing. Honestly, with raceceivers it really is not needed (though the raceceiver can be distracting if the communicator doesn't give short, clear info).Originally posted by foxfire2dirtracing View PostIs the blue/yellow flag : a move over flag or hold your line?

How are you supposed to know where to move to? The hold your line procedure always made more sense to me. If you are low, quit sweeping high on exit. If you are high, don't take low entries anymore.Originally posted by EvelB7 View Post

That’s exactly the way I would interpret it as well.Originally posted by MasterSbilt_Racer View Post

All they should tell you is you are about to be lapped. Drivers should then have enough sense to 'hold their line' (the sense part is the problem...). Trying to move out of the way is a bad idea, just quit taking up more than one lane on the track.Originally posted by AJMcCool View PostThe raceceiver communication makes the most sense, but I don’t like it lol.
