its funny how people dont remember the history of races and all. Also funny thing is no track in west Virginia is suited to have a big race really.

To be fair, the national touring guys do not particularly care for Tyler County. They do tend to like Lernerville, but that doesn’t actually matter.

It moved because Carl enjoys making money. That’s also why the DTWC is at Eldora.

Correct the National touring guys hated that drive to the middle
of nowhere among other things but that’s another debate for another time.

The Hillbilly only left Tyler county because Carl had a relationship with the past promotors, hometown racing group. When hometown racing group stepped down at TC it created uncertainty. Carl didn’t want to stick around to find out who the new promotors were going to be which is understandable. He had no working relationship with anyone else. Same reason it left Tyler county after 2009 when BDS gave up their position as promoters. At the moment there isn’t another suitable option in WV until the new WVMS proves itself.

I am still very much looking forward to the race that Tyler county is putting on next weekend. It has an old school feel. Unsanctioned, uncertainty of who shows up, locals, and guys who just want to race for decent money without the hassle of worrying about being at Eldora a couple days later. We don’t give a rats azz about Carl, Lucas oil, or the “big name drivers” that don’t want to get their rigs dirty.

Lernerville will have a great weekend as well. The fans seem to always pack that place.

You're not wrong about that last part for sure. The dtwc stayed at pennsboro and Portsmouth for the wrong reasons. That was pretty apparent to anyone that pays attention.

If I remember right last year ZYOUNG and Pennsboro said that everyone wanted to go to Eldora on Sunday to tune up for the World 100 thats why Lucas was leaving to a track that wanted to run the Hillbilly on Saturday

Jimmy Owens has it posted as well as the Koehlers and I was thinking Joiner as well should be around 55 to 65 late models and 40 to 50 mods and 35 to 40 stocks.
