Not super surprising, Mikee and the Bruening team just never seemed to develop the chemistry needed to consistently run up front.Heading back to Delk basically means Marlar will take back over more control of the car, setups, etc...a role he seems more comfortable with. This split must be genuinely amicable, since Greg Bruening is going to sponsor the car, at least for next year. I look for Marlar to return back to his winning ways in 2026.

I'm glad Marlar and Delk are teaming up again. They were a great combination in the past. If I remember correctly, Delk wanted to get out for a couple of years before Marlar landed with Bruening, but he stuck with him until he landed another deal. I see it as a win/win since Bruening is supposed to still be running two cars and adding back Delk's team should mean one more national touring level team to the mix.

I saw Jared Delk running the Sportsman Late Model race after the Flo feature. I think that is Ronnie's son. He's some relative of Ronnie's though. Wonder if Mike will act as a mentor for him and if that might have had some part in Mike and Delk running together again.Last edited by Snake X3; 09-12-2025, 08:10 PM.

Not so sure about that. The equipment was kept at marlars shop and his same 2 crew guys who have been with him for ever and are going to continue with him have been their the whole time. The only thing that is changing is who is paying the bills. It seems that guy wants his cars on a national tour. The maintenence program seems to be an issue to me. I could be wrong this is purely speculation but when marlar and delk were at their best they were getting new cars as much as jd and he always ran well in said cars for several weeks and than started to slip. Then they'd get another new car and back to the front he'd go. And this was through multiple chassis brands so that kinda eliminates Any argument that a particular chassis brand is subpar. It kinda reminds me of in the early years of Fergusons career he was bad fast but had "no luck" they broke more shocks than any other team I've ever seen. Well most of the time when a shock brakes its because it hit the ground when it fell off.Originally posted by Finnfan25 View PostNot super surprising, Mikee and the Bruening team just never seemed to develop the chemistry needed to consistently run up front.Heading back to Delk basically means Marlar will take back over more control of the car, setups, etc...a role he seems more comfortable with. I agree. It seems that Marlar has broke more than anybody this season. You hit the nail on the head about Fergy too.Originally posted by Jking24 View Post

Reckon why they need "New" cars so often? Is it a question of maintenance or are the frames losing something? I thought the "DOCUL" tubing was suppose to help with the "Flexed-Out" issue they'd once had... Curious, seems like keeping a car up would be cheaper than buying new rollers all the time.Originally posted by Jking24 View Post

Docol is better about cracking and supposed to be a better quality as far as variations in tubing thickness witch should create a more consistent chassis. That being said any material can "flex out" if bent beyond or close to its yeild. But as i said this has happened through several different manufactures and i only know if one currently that has had any cars that are supposedly flexing out. This isn't true for all but their are quite a few national teams that are plague'd by the same "shop Gremlins "that the average local team has the only difference is they have stackers and big budgets.
