I’d like to see a Flo DLM race at Kokomo. Montpelier would be great too, but the seating capacity wouldn't work.

XR ran at Kokomo a couple years back...some great racing. I don't get why series don't run there.

Tazewell is my pick. Hopefully the new owners put some work into it and attract some interest.

I don’t see WOO/Lucas ever going back to Taz.
The teams hated it and complained loudly when the series were there. The road in/out with the big haulers, terrible pit area, 50 year old facilities. Not to mention alot of torn up equipment. The races use to be great but with the much wider cars- not so much side by side anymore. Passing has to be calculated.

I’d like to see a national late model tour return to West Plains Missouri, original home of the Show Me 100

tracks been closed a couple years now, they were suppose to reopen it this year, but weather interfered with facility improvements.

Taz is one of my top 3 favorite tracks ever to watch a good late model race, but everything you say is true. If just one of the three things you mentioned could be overcome, it might be a contender for a national race again, but none of those are practical to change. But for my two cents, I always enjoyed the races at Lawrenceburg. Top notch facility, great grandstands with abundant seating, concessions area great, easy access for teams and fans with good parking and large (flat) pit area for haulers. I'm not sure why the national series stopped racing there, it seems like I heard there was something about the track the teams didn't like but I can't remember the specifics.

Macon Speedway. Where cars actually pass each other and trade some paint. Unlike the aero cr@p that you get today with no passing. The dirt late model world really sucks nowadays. Only a few tracks left that I'll spend my money at.

And the fact that they won't go back there says more about the problems with the current rules in DLM racing than it does about the Taz imo. Would be like baseball saying we can't play at Wrigley Field any more, the game has passed it by.

Hence why I said I hope some money and work is put into from the new owners. Whether they are interested, I have no idea.

Agree. They’ve helped ruin several tracks along the way.

Before Steve Francis took over WoO, they would have gone back to Tazewell. But back then, the series didn't have the caliber of drivers it has now and their sanction fee has always been a bit higher than Lucas. With Francis now in charge, I don't know if they'd go back. Lucas left on their own because it was way down on their list of criteria, even though the place was packed for every one of their races. Lucas wanted to go to the next level and Tazewell wasn't up to snuff (to them) even though it was a popular stop with the fans.

Modoc, or whatever it’s called now…if they ever finished revamping the place. Last time I was there was 2021 after they cleared out the infield. You could actually see everything. I know it’s not probably high on anyone’s list but I kind of liked the place.

I also wouldn't mind them seeing going all the way to the West Coast but that'll never be more than a dream.
