Lucas Oil Or WOO Need Some New Tracks.

I would love to see the Lucas Oil or WOO go to Waynesfield Raceway Park or Moler Raceway Park or maybe Montpelier Motor Speedway. Maybe 50 laps $10,000 to win $1,000 to start with Mods as a Support division and Stock Cars.

I completely agree. I’ve been saying it for a while. Too bad there is much of any late model racing on the west coast excepts Oregon and Washington. They have some good tracks as well. I’d love to see a show a places like Ventura, Skagit, Thunderbowl, and Perris Auto Speedway

Considering the majority of super late models are from east of the Mississippi, who in their right mind would tow all the way to the west coast? When they put together these National touring schedules, they are trying to make it logisticly friendly for the racers. 2000 miles plus one way would be quite foolish.

The Tracks have to be able to support the size of the crowd needed to make it profitable, Moler and Montpilier would be very diffcult to do.

Personally i would like to see a big money show at Lawrenceburg Speedway, maybe the DTWC or something. They could also have a huge Winged Sprinter, Non Wing and Midget Shows and a Huge SLM Show there, plenty of room and plenty of stands.

        Just say no...

Moler had a outlaw show in 2016. It turned into a one lane rubber race. I wouldn't mind seeing them get another shot though.

I say we need at least 6 more major shows at Eldora... We could change the name of the series to the Eldora "Run it to Death Challenge Series" and that way we can destroy anything special about going there once and for all. On a serious note I'd like to see the Show Me 100 go back to West Plains Motor speedway(or whatever they are calling it these days, if not any major event would be nice.

Too bad Tri -State got rained out for their midweek FLO night race. Two days before Brownstown would have had a stout field of cars. I'm sure there are reasons Tom H does not risk having a big late model purse race.

As a former promoter of the North Central Speedway track you listed, I can pretty much promise, the WoO Lates won't return...

We had them there a couple of times in the 2007-2009 seasons. But, our crowds just were not large enough, to break even... We did better with a more regional series, like when the WDRL was still running.. These were also run, prior to the now streaming services, so we may have recovered a bit more from that.?.?.. I do not know, the financials of how that works now.

What most fans & people don't understand is, nearly any track can sign up for a race, especially if the tour is already in your area.. But, what closes a lot of those doors, is coming up with the roughly $50k+ guarantee you need, to get the tours to come to your track... And... Because many of the hi profit weekends are already booked, many tracks are forced to either settle for a mid-week race, or be able to come up with enough funding, (well over $100K+) to be able to book a two-day series weekend.

I miss the old promoter days like crazy.... But, I also DON'T miss the old promotor days like crazy.
