I was wondering could we see steel blocks run on Saturday and maybe friday be Lucas Oil and mods and stocks. That way Saturday could be Lucas Oil and Steel Blocks.

On the broadcast last night, Dustin Jarrett hinted at another class or series joining the Lucas Oil Late Models for the 2-day event at Eldora next October. I wonder if the High Limit Sprints would be the other class/series. Jarrett also mentioned reps from IMCA talking with Eldora.

I would love to see IMCA Late Models vs Ohio Valley Steel Blocks on Saturday Night with the Lucas Oil Series that would draw maybe 75 or so cars and probably 55 to 60 Lucas Oil Super Lates.

IMCA LM vs Ohio Steel Block LM wouldn't be a fair fight. IMCA are either 604 crates or IMCA Spec engines. Ohio Valley steel blocks are big cubic inch engines and different degree heads. I just ran with the Steel Blocks with my Wissota engine which is probably 150+ hp more than an IMCA Spec and I was out hp'd by the Ohio cars. But I still had fun.Originally posted by latemodelman View PostI would love to see IMCA Late Models vs Ohio Valley Steel Blocks on Saturday Night with the Lucas Oil Series that would draw maybe 75 or so cars and probably 55 to 60 Lucas Oil Super Lates.

Friday will be a complete show $10,000 to win and $1,000 to start and Saturday complete show $50,000 to win $2,500 to start and was told Friday would probably include Stocks and Mods and Saturday would be the Ohio Vally Steel Block Series.

I ran a 'southern' limited late model, 362 cid with 23 degree heads as well- had fun. The fast time was a CT525 so hard for me to blame horsepower but the true Ohio Steel Blocks aren't far off the Supers with HP numbers. cjsracing, it was nice meeting you and good luck with your program in the future- good job in just making the show.Originally posted by cjsracing View Post
