He looked like he was coming into his own in 2024 but did a lot of not much this year.

            JOSH RICE!!!

            For Immediate Release

JOSH RICE AGREES TO DEAL WITH JRR MOTORSPORTS FOR 2026 SEASON

Crittenden, KY - October 20th, 2025 - Beginning in 2026, Josh Rice will compete full time for the JRR Motorsports team, with a complete schedule still being finalized.

"I feel incredibly fortunate to have this opportunity to drive for the Ratliff Family." says Josh, "Justin and James have deep roots in dirt late model racing and I look forward to working with a group that we have competed against for so many years. I cant wait for the opportunity!"

Rick Jones' Sunesis Racing Team will cease operation following the conclusion of the Gateway Dirt Nationals in December. "Rick has been one of the main reasons l'm able to get this opportunity with JRR. He pushed for this, and we're incredibly grateful for his support these last 12 years. If it were not for Rick, I wouldn't be in the position I am.

Josh's first race with JRR Motorsports will be October 25th at Atomic Speedway.

Full details on sponsors, schedule, and more will be available in the coming weeks.

Are they going to run Longhorns with Rice in it? The last expierement didnt go well.

              Clements Engines, thats good.

Also are they going to run the Full Lucas Schedule?

All very exciting for Josh Rice, what an opportunity.

              Just say no...

If it's a great opportunity, why wouldn't the guy getting an opportunity run what the team owner has? He's already raced a JRR car once, and won against a regional field. Who knows why the horn that the 11 team had wasn't very good for them?

Why would a car that works for Perm and Jameson not be suitable?

No idea, Ive never drove either one.

Seems like some like the L-Horns and some dont. Rice seems to do better in a Rocket, i guess he likes the feel of it better, not real sure.

Jameson has run well in his latest L-Horn.

At the end of the day if the Car Owner wants to run Horns, cause he gets a deal or whatever, i guess he will be racing a Longhorn.

Maybe Rice didnt have the right set ups or intel on the 1st go round and this time he will, who knows.

I'm not sure. Kinda rhetorical questions, but JRR has who knows how many race cars. It seems crazy to replace a bunch of them for the new guy.

Per DirtonDirt article, they’ll start in horns but not against getting rockets if Rice doesn’t adapt well.

Sounds like a guaranteed slow start to the season.

I haven't seen a "driving style" that could not win in a longhorn. But I did see rice park a new one after 2 races. I doubt the frame was the problem.

He already tried a Longhorn last year and switched back. He's going to lose points before they figure out what he already figured out.

He ran a car 2 times, full of Vinny gadgets, said it steered funny, and gave up on it. That proves absolutely nothing. He also has already won a race in a Ratliff longhorn. Is he a talented racer or not? Why can't a car that's good for perm and Jason Jameson not work for him? Those 2 guys race nothing alike. A race car can be adjusted.
