Totally agree that new wraps = new merchandise sales. I've never been associated close enough to a team to get an estimate on how much merchandise a good team sells. Be interesting seeing how many shirts, hoodies and other items teams sell.

I remember that car. I'm pretty sure he ran it at Knoxville. Very hazy memory, but I don't think he ran that well.

I saw an interview where Tyler Carpenter said something along the lines of he sells enough merch there to race the next season on.
I know I've heard several other in the pits during the year say they sell enough merch there to justify the risk of trashing a car there.

i get the $$$ from merch sales. what i don't get is why fans that need 40 different Pierce, JD, Thornton, etc shirts.

99% of my racing shirts are from my local hometown drivers. and my track no longer has a weekly late model show.

i buy those shirts because i'm pretty sure they need the money far worse than the traveling stars.

Maybe I am in the minority, but I have never been a fan of THE ONE Off racing shirts. They basically become obsolete after the special show. I would much rather buy a shirt of a driver that I root for that I can wear the rest of the racing season. I guess most fans are not like me and will buy anything.....
